It was 109 degrees here today. I think the DFW area is up to 33 straight days of 100+ degree temps. That currently puts us in second place for the record, which I believe is 42 days and was set back in 1980. With no temperature relief in sight, we may have a truly record breaking summer...which will amount to a record breaking electric bill for me! Instead of marble countertops and linen sofas, today I'm dreaming of this~

I'm very scared about my bill. We are having some new windows put in this week. Nothing says energy savings like giant gaping holes in the walls of your house! ;)
